These are casual positions located between our Myrtle Bank and Angle Park sites.
The main responsibilities of Personal Care Assistants are:
- To work as part of a team providing catering, cleaning and personal care in a home like environment for residents, their family and friends.
- Assisting residents to attain and maintain their optimum degree of independence, dignity, privacy and quality of life
- To recognise health and environmental hazards and be proactive in corrective action
- Contribute to the assessment process of residents including documentation
- Be an active participant in continuous quality improvement
- Assisting with personal hygiene, showering and toileting
- Assisting with activities of daily living; dressing, grooming and meal time including feeding
To be successful in this position you will require;
- A completed a Certificate III in Aged Care
- Demonstrated competency working in an aged care
- Experience working with dementia residents is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility in adapting to a changing roster
